Gina Knapp is a seasoned financial executive and civic leader with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit finance, strategic planning, and youth development. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for the YMCA of Greater Kansas City. Her career spans financial and executive roles at prominent organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, the Kauffman Foundation, Camp Fire USA, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Across each role, Knapp has demonstrated deep expertise in nonprofit financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and organizational governance.

In 2021, Knapp was elected to the Blue Valley Board of Education and served as Board President for the 2024-25 school year. In this capacity, she applies her financial acumen to guide a district-wide budget and strategic initiatives, reinforcing educational excellence and fiscal responsibility in one of Kansas’ top-performing school districts.

Knapp earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Kansas and an MBA with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Finance from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She is a recipient of the National Service to Youth Award, recognizing her longstanding commitment to young people and community impact.

She resides in Overland Park with her husband Chris, having made the deliberate choice to educate her three children in Blue Valley. Her oldest graduated from Blue Valley Northwest and her two younger children currently attend Blue Valley schools.
